Hello! Welcome to our website!
I am a 21 year old entrepreneur who left my full time Marketing Director position to fight every day for Auto-Immune Disease Awareness and #CommunityOverCompetition 💙
With Chamorro and Dutch roots, I started my barre and indoor cycling journey numerous years ago in Eastern NC far away from home.
Little did I know I would come face to face with the man above fighting for my life on November 3rd, 2016. After a life-threatening car crash, I was told I was going to suffer from Lyme Disease, Lupus, Fibromyalgia, AND RA (Rheumatoid Arthritis) at the age of 18. From there, I felt like I had really hit rock bottom.
Once I returned back to campus I joined an INFRARED studio in Norman, OK and immediately saw the amazing results and wanted to share those with everyone around me. I vividly remember walking out of that studio thinking that every single woman that has an auto-immune disease knew about this amazing, low-impact workout that they would all flood this place! Barre, Indoor Cycling/Spin, Yoga, etc. combined with infrared heating have helped me deal with stress, lack of cartilage, and symptoms of numerous auto-immune diseases tremendously.
Upon completion of her degree from the University of Oklahoma (Boomer Sooner!) with a Bachelors Degree in Marketing at the age of 19, woot woot! I accepted my first job in the "big girl" world and relocated to Hampton Roads, VA. December 3rd, 2018 I found myself unable to utilize my hands to type, hold my phone, drive, close my door, etc. I ended up in a pitch black room for three days reminiscing on my college days, missing all of my girlfriends, and missing my favorite studio of all time, By day two I bought the name "Barre By The Bay" because I figured that like-minded women that have an auto-immune disease and want to form a community unlike no other would help me transform the Peninsula. Day three I called my support system and figured out how I was going to get the financial backing I needed.
For the rest of the story, just ask. I look forward to meeting each and every one of you.
As always, be a leader. Love you forever & always already.
